What a nice place to stay. Quiet. Nice beach. Unit where we stayed was a condo-type with two bedrooms and two full baths, full kitchen. Appliances were not up to date, but they all worked well. This is a bit out of town, but then the beach was not crazy with people. It was a most pleasant week stay here and I would definitely go back again. Don't depend on wi-fi. I had to go to office several times to use it. They were attempting to get it fixed, but if it's important to you...check before making reservations.

My family has been coming here since the 80's. Yes the bldg. is starting to show it's age a bit but the rooms are renovated quite frequently. I look forward to my return each year to see what will be new, different and updated. In this day and age if what one thinks of as a one bedroom/one bath apartment is that it may not be fancy enough; well this isn't the place for you. We still and always will still find it just right. When looking to book other hotels in the area they just seem to fall short. They may be newer and not show the wear and tear, but they charge the same price and do not offer the beachfront views, kitchenettes and ability to just have your family together in one spot for a week without having to leave if you don't want to. Quite, peaceful, relaxing and awesome to see returning visitors come back each year. You see the same families you did the year before during their week and then they turn into family as well. Great view of the bay and lots of beachfront. This hotel will always hold a special place in my heart! My family loves being together here spending quality family time together. Most beautiful sunsets to watch as you eat on the quaint balcony. Down to earth and real place. If one doesn't appreciate character but prefers generic cookie cutter then this probably would not be the place for you.

While the decor was a bit dated, the cleanliness and view surpassed my expectations. From our bottom floor room, you could walk right out to the beach. Quiet. Peaceful. Next time we are in the area, we will stay here again.

Awesome place. Staff could not be better. Any problems. They jump to make it right. Such a unique place to stay. First floor steps out onto short steps to beach. Ducks visit
Short trip to town and both peninsulas. Natural beauty everywhere

The room should get a 5 star, and if I could break this apart to do it, I would. The suite/apartment had everything we needed, and the view overlooking the water was spectacular. The separate bedroom was nice & dark for sleeping and had plenty of space to stretch out, as well as a big tv. I'm not sure on size, but it was at least a 40-42", as was the living room tv. The living room/kitchen had comfy furniture; there was a battle for rights to the recliner. I won. The dining set had wide, cushy chairs, and the kitchen was stocked with anything you could need, if you decided to cook or bake. Salt & pepper was there, along with a couple small packets for coffee, so if you are a REAL coffee drinker, BYO is forewarned. And prepare to wait - that coffeemaker took over half an hour. But all dishes, mugs, bowls, toaster, blender, pans, etc.are right there. You have a full size fridge with a nice icemaker in it. Can't go wrong.

The place I had to drop the 5 star rating was in that the patio/balcony needs a re-do. Since this is April, that may well be happening before the summer season sets in. The paint on it was peeling away. However, when you go out on that balcony, the paint is the last thing on your mind. The VIEW is all you see.

Also, for a spring getaway, the situation with the pool and hot tub is awkward. To use it, you have to go to the main office to get towels, and a locker key & door lock combination for the locker room. Part of the trip to the pool includes a run outside, and it was COLD. It just seems a bit of a hassle to use the pool, so we only used it once. The pool and hot tub temperatures are excellent though. Very enjoyable.

Overall, a terrific getaway here, and we would return.
