Have been in a few times. Great ice creams & shakes. The owner is very pleasant and nice to deal with. Another lady worker is usually pretty crabby but still a great place to stop in.

A business associate and I stopped here, thinking we'd have a snack. Instead we both ordered lunch, and it was good. I had a grilled ham and cheese, she had a tunafish sandwich, each made to order and each delicious. I had a cherry phosphate for my drink - haven't had that in decades! We also had dessert - I had hand-dipped ice cream (the small size was very generous) and she had a milkshake (it was huge!).

What makes this place special is the huge display of antiques throughout the restaurant - many of them tying in with the local farming community. There's a huge wall of oak drawers as you enter - you don't see that every day. When we came in, there was a group of bikers (motorcyclists, not bicyclists) sitting up front having a great time. Very friendly staff, too.

If you're looking for a fun place to go, out in the country, spend an afternoon at Scooter's - well worth the trip!

Pleasant little find in out-of-the-way place.
Don't let the outside fool you. Looks rundown but gives you that old Timey feel inside. Our tunafish sandwiches were made to order not premade.
Staff was very nice. When was the last time you had a real malt served in a glass with the metal extra on the side that wasn't a HO-hum chain?

Make your way to Scotts Michigan to Scooters Malt Shoppe, 8399 36th St. What a quaint little shop where you can get a burger with a slice of onion not a sliver. Do you remember Cherry Cokes and phosphates, ... real Chocolate Sodas? Malts in metal tumblers with straws the size of pea-shooters? Well if you don't remember stop by and say HI to Cindy.

Check out all the (old?) toys, magazines, records, and the party room, where you can hold your own parties with dress up games; all while listening to the juke box.
