Felt very comfortable, relaxing, great place to have the family spend some quality time together. Nice base of operations for our get-away trip. More than a few deer around. Very very quiet, and nice white noise from the HVAC.

Room Tip: gas grills were nice. hot tub comfy. pool clean. lots of deer

Enjoyed our stay here in unit B1. It was very spacious which was good because we had kids sleeping over with us and staying for breakfast. The bathroom area was nice with upgraded shower and other amenities. While the unit is actually one large bedroom, there was an extra twin bed and pull-out in the living area. This allowed for our small guests. The kitchen was usefully equipped and large enough for our needs with choice of counter or dining table for meals. It is a quiet location away from parking areas and a short hop to the pool. All in all, a good stay for a family.

Stayed here three nights, with wife and two daughters (ages 8 and 5), just to do a couple days of down time in the area. It's not a luxury property, but for what it is and the rate, we were impressed. There are variously sized rooms, but ours was two bedrooms and the common area (kitchen, living room, small breakfast table).

THE GOOD
--While not huge, it was big enough for a family of four. Bedrooms a little small but fine, common area OK size, bathroom actually pretty big.
--Location is excellent - walk to Douglas Beach, or to the Chain Ferry to get to Saugatuck, or a short ride on the in-town shuttle ($1 per ride per person to anywhere in town!) to anywhere you need to go.
--Pool area was nice, including a decent-sized hot tub
--Beds were comfortable
--Kitchen en-suite was functional for basic stuff - wouldn't want to cook a gourmet meal in it but it's plenty of room for breakfasts and snacks etc.
--Rooms were clean
--The property is on a wooded bluff that provides a serene feel, and there are some chairs on the porch to sit in and admire the views

THE BAD
--There is no office on the property per se, so you have to call for anything you need. We didn't have any issues, but it was a surprise for a place with that many rooms to not have a desk or anything, to answer questions etc.
--While you can walk to a number of things, be aware that the local roads in that part of town mostly do not have sidewalks or walking lanes. So you are in traffic. It's minimal traffic, but be careful if you have small kids walking with you. This is not the hotel's fault of course, but something to keep in mind.
--Would be nice to have a king bed instead of just queens everywhere, but not a big deal.

Again, this is not a luxury property, but the rate is reasonable, location is great, and it has everything a family needs for a fun little vacation. I wouldn't call it romantic either, more of a families place than couples. But I'd definitely recommend it for family use!

Needed a pet friendly place to stay in Saugatuck, to accommodate our family of 4. Really enjoyed our stay. Had 2 queen beds in one bedroom, a kitchen, living room and dining room - 1 bathroom. Great location, only minutes from the main down town area. They were renovating the unit next to us and looked very nice with stainless steel appliances, etc. Our unit was very nice - seemed like some of if was updated and some of it could use some updating, but was happy overall with our stay there. The owner/manager, Cheryl, was really nice and easy to deal with. She was VERY quick to respond back to any email or text. Lots of varying sizes of units. Some with 2 bedrooms and could accommodate varying numbers of people. This was also great because we could bring our pet (as there were also other numerous families there with pets). Would recommend!
