Travelling as a couple on a budget we were super happy to have found this place. Situated in a beautiful quiet area surrounded by trees was perfect. The rooms have hot showers and plenty of blankets for the chilly nights of March. The food is AMAZING! And the hospitality by the guys makes you feel right at home. We look forward to returning again next year!

The man who owns this is the most relaxed peaceful guy who is super positive. We loved staying here ,mainly because he made us feel so comfortable. We were doing the Iyengar Yoga which is right next door. The food is very good also, we ate each meal on the roof in the sun

I am coming back to this place since many years. Rajesh is my very good friend. He is very helpful and knows a lot about this area. He is also an amazing cook. You will find fresh and healthy food here and delicious vegan cakes.
He likes his job and you will feel it. The rooms are comfortable with good wifi connection and you will feel like at home in his colorful garden.
Don't hesitate to visit him.

We stayed at Kamal Guesthouse while doing two yoga courses at the Iyengar center near by, about two weeks. The room was pretty cheap (400 a night) and convenient, in terms of space and toilet. A carpeted floor was a great bonus, as we stayed in March, and it was pretty cold sometimes.
The best thing about the place was definitely the host - Raj. Raj was extremely accommodating and helpful, yet very respectful of our privacy. He was not pushy like Indian guesthouse owners sometimes are, and was very friendly. The atmosphere at the yard (where we spent much time with other residents) was very communal and relaxed. Raj and his workers cooked cheap and decent meals, and sitting with them having a pleasant conversation really made us feel at home.

I stayed in Kamal Guesthouse for altogether almost three months and it is the perfect place.
Rajesh is a lovely host, the rooms are nice and clean, the food he makes is amazing, the roof terrace is great and the people who stay there are very special, that it really feels like a family place.
It's perfectly located, quiet, a bit away from the Dharamsala/Dharakot/Bhagsu villages, but close enough to get to any of them in a short walk. Also a great departure point for hiking.
Highly recommended place!
