Charming, lakeside cabin with all the amenities of home. I enjoyed the rustic decor especially the stenciled quotes and beautiful photographs. The freshly cut flowers and home-made cookies were also appreciated. This is a great place to relax and get back to nature - like being up North without the long drive A pilated woodpecker posed for us, as did a family of swans. My 21 year old fished off the pier and made full use of the canoe and kayak. Pullman - where two roads meet - is a short drive for gas or groceries. Gracious and accommodating hosts.

The property was clean and well maintained. My friend with her 5 year old and myself with 9 and 6 year olds stayed 2 nights, and Doug was flexible on our check out time which was nice not being rushed out. He had said all you need to bring is your food - the cottage was stocked w/everything else including sheets dishes towels, etc. However, our one complaint was the cheap and cracked dollar store dishes, and several basic kitchen gadgets missing - we'd liked to have had a colander and vegetable peeler and some real dishes. Otherwise, it was a nice stay. We were allowed to use a row boat, paddleboat, kayak, and life jackets, and there were fishing poles that we didn't use. We all enjoyed using the boats on the nice-sized lake, and the yard was shady and perfect for outdoor meals and squirt gun fights. We made a fire and we grilled using his gas grill. There is only a 2-night min stay here as opposed to many other rentals in the area being weekly min stays.
