Ok it's not exactly a Ritz-Carlton but it's the Ritz-Carlton of Paradise, Michigan. The room was clean and comfortable and the bed had about 90 pounds of covers on it. Ok, I'm exaggerating but the covers were the heaviest I'd experience in a long time. Some rooms overlook Lake Superior and others overlook the parking lot. Breakfast was nice with an excellent view of the lake.

The Magnuson is a nice property; nice size rooms; very clean
Checking in was quick; lady in front desk gave us good info on places to dine
There is a nice place for dinner just next to the hotel also close by there is a grocery store
Had a room on 3rd floor with nice views of the lake
Great experience and great hotel - this is a good place to stay if visiting Whitefish Point bird observatory - about 11 miles from whitefish point

Absolutely love this place and have stayed here more than once. This is the only place I would stay in Paradise. The rooms are reasonably priced and LARGE. The view from their breakfast room is magnificent. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Book several weeks before you plan on staying. I think people have discovered this wonderful hotel and although we were able to get a room for 2 nights, we had to change our travel dates because they were booked solid for our original dates. I had called 3 weeks in advance. There are also very few hotels in the area and I think people have discovered that Paradise is a little Paradise so everyone now wants to stay in the area.

Best hotel we stayed in during a two week road trip. Clean, quiet with all the amenities. Right on the water with a beautiful view. Definitely make reservations because this town is pretty small. Very pleasant desk crew. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone coming to this area.

Clean, quiet, well cared for and up to date. Hot breakfast was well supervised with food restocked and tables cleaned. Spa tub was large and nice in the pool area.
Watching the sun rise over Lake Superior from our bed could not be beat. Can walk the beach as well. Food places nearby
