“Beautiful holiday location, very friendly owners, excellent value!”

We just came back from a truly wonderful holiday clamping at la blanquette. The bell tent we stayed in was very homely and beautifully presented, and we made regular use of the cooking facilities in the kitchen shed. The grounds are stunning, and very quiet due to the small number of rentals. There's loads to go and see in the area, and the canoeing on the dordogne was a lovely day out. Can't recommend highly enough!

“Fabulous family holiday”

La Blanquette is set in beautiful French woodlands. The amenities for glamping are set at a high standard and all your self catering needs are met. The tent and surrounding area was excellent and just far enough away from other guest to give privacy. The pool area is just beautiful with various areas for shade and sun which are all made for comfort.
The family who own and run La Blanquette are wonderful hosts. They were very welcoming and were on hand to answer any queries, nothing was too much trouble. Their knowledge of Sarlet and the surrounding area was exceptional and they were on hand for recommendations of places to visit and restaurants to eat at.
We hired bikes and canoes which was lots of fun and made our holiday even more memorable. The cost of this was very reasonable and a personable service was given to meet our needs.
The homemade fig jam we were given on arrival was indeed as it said on the label made with love and tasted delicious, we were kindly given 2 pots to take home. On arrival there is a welcome basket with lots of goodies in and fresh flowers on the table outside the tent. They provide a daily bakery run for delcious breakfast treats.
The only issue was that due to previous rain there were many mosquitos who liked to come out at night to feed on us, so sitting out at night was sometimes difficult. However sprays for the tent and ourselves was provided.
We're we sad to come home? Yes. Would we return? Yes, our holiday was fabulous!

“A lovely chilled out way to spend a week”

Nik and Jason have created a lovely setting for a particularly relaxing holiday. The site is beautiful, and the glamping (we stayed in La Truffe Noire) was great - they've clearly put a lot of thought into setting you up with everything you'd need. The tent is really spacious, the double bed comfy, and outside you've got a variety of additions (e.g. gazebo & dining table, hammock, sun loungers, BBQ & kitchen hut, and a private bathroom about 100m away) to make your stay effortless.
Added to this there's bike hire (we hired the electric bikes - genius) and canoe hire with transport from the site, a swimming pool & petanque terrain, and a range of walking / MTB trails through the woods. The charming town of Sarlat is only a 5 minute drive / 20 minute cycle away, and there's plenty to explore in the immediate area, including plenty of great restaurants and stunning chateaux.
I'd thoroughly recommend La Blanquette, we had a really great week.

“Stunning Glampsite in the Dordogne!”

Myself and my partner recently spent one week at the lovely 'La Blanquette' Glampsite, staying in the Truffe Noire bell tent. The tents were located in a peaceful woodland, very private and perfect for a romantic getaway! They were well provisioned with everything you would ever need and were tastefully decorated with fairy lights and bunting. A short walk through a wild flower meadow led to a beautiful swimming pool with sun loungers, shades and a boules pitch! During our time there we rented electric bikes and canoes from the owners, so the holiday was a great balance of activity and relaxing by the pool!

La Blanquette is located about 10 minutes drive away from Sarlat, a pretty medieval town with excellent restaurants and lively markets. Even though we were travelling by public transport, we found it easy to explore the area and get around. We would definitely recommend taking a trip to Domme, a lovely town about an hour bike ride away which has great views over the valley!

Overall, we really enjoyed our time in the Dordogne, but it was made extra special by our hosts who put a real effort into making us feel welcome; a basket with french cheese and wine on arrival, advice on where to go and places to visit, surprise mojitos by the pool and fresh bread and pastries delivered to your tent every morning. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to anyone.

“Gorgeous”

My fiance and I stayed in Truffe Noire last week and had a wonderful holiday. The tent is situated in the woods a little away from the pool and main house, a perfectly secluded spot but close enough to the shower hut for convenience. The large bell tent was beautifully decorated and the kitchen hut very well equipped - everything needed for glamping was thought of!
We recieved a lovely warm welcome from Nik and Jason, a particular favourite was the complimentary bubbly cooling in the fridge! They were very helpful throughout our stay - we hired bikes and went on a canoeing trip down the Dordogne river (Jason drove us and picked us up after our 6 hours on the river).
If we were to pick any faults there would only be one for our stay last week - the weather! Unfortunately we had thunderstorms and markedly cooler weather than the average for July. We still had a fabulous holiday, however, and can at least say that the bell tent stood up very well indeed to a rather ferocious electric storm.
