“Best option in Gyeonggi province”
Reviewed 8 January 2012

Location could be better since it's still a 10-15 min bus or taxi ride from Suwon station. It's not convenient for using as a base for Seoul. But it could be a good place to stay if you plan on spending a day in Everland theme park. As far as the rooms, it was spotlessly clean. Breakfast buffet was superb and well worth the money. Happy hour (30,000 won) for all you can drink beer and wire and snacks was also a great value. Probably the best hotel outside of Seoul in the Gyeonggi province.

If you are used to Ramada Hotels as you would find them in North America, then you should be extremely pleased to discover that this hotel is nothing like what you imagine. The Ramada Plaza Suwon is clean, stylish, centrally located, and staffed with intelligent and helpful employees. For a reasonable price, I had a room that was very well furnished, will new and modern decor, reminding one perhaps of a Westin hotel room back in the States. The bed was very comfortable and the bedding of high quality. I did not eat here, so cannot comment on the food, but the restaurant/bar was busy in the evening with live music and seemed a nice place to spend a relaxing night off. The free parking was easy to access and readily available. I'm trying to think of something critical for the place but coming up empty... Even the elevators were a positive--came immediately and moved quickly. Stay here, and I'll leave it to you to find something disappointing. A tough challenge.

Room Tip: Likely worth paying a little more for a premium room. Top floor has excellent views.

This is our company's standard when visiting Suwon. I've stayed here a couple times and it is comfortable. I haven't had time to use the gym or other amenities. Room was good. I had a very strange issue - at around 3AM the air came on and when it did, the light at the door turned on. I turned it off and no more issues that night. But second night the same thing happened. 3AM, air comes on, light comes on. I turned it off but then it continued to come on every 5min when the air kicked on. I had to pull the bulb from the light, went back to sleep. I explained it to the staff and no apology, no accomodation.

Stayed there 2 nights as a part of hosted buyer for a Trade meet , which was held in the Ball room in the hotel . Superb rooms , Very well furnished with great views from the room .
The best thing is that is a complete business hotel with high speed internet in all rooms and the a well furnished quiet business center in the lobby , where I could have one to one meetings with my vendors .
Breakfast buffet was an excellent spread , with a good variety of international and local cuisine .Service quick and efficient . Overall a good Business Hotel .

Room Tip: Choose a Corner room ,which have windows on both sides and are larger and offer city views and garde...

Well, when you travel for business you do not need much from a hotel really, decently clean, good breakfast, comfortable bed, a gym...
The Ramada has it all and do not take for granted that this is the standard in Korea. It is a very good hotel for Korean standards and, most importantly, 5 minutes by taxi to Samsung city, target of over 4.000 visiting businesspeople every day.
Everything was really more than average, only the cost was somewhat on the expensive side.
Tip: if you can spare half an hour just walk over to Hwaseong Fortress. It is worth a visit!

Room Tip: Do not worry to get rooms on the street side, you will not avoid the traffic noise even on the furth...
