Time for a pizza stop on the way back to the campsite. We got off the bridge and decided to find a pizza place in Mackinaw City and take a pizza back to our RV. Mama Mia's was one of two names given us by a local store so, we found it and were not disappointed. Family owned and operated by an Italian woman from Detroit who married an ironworker from the UP. Variety of pizzas to choose from at affordable prices. We had to wait about 20-25 minutes as it was made "fresh". They have a maritime museum on the upper level giving a lot of memorabilia and videos of the building of the Mackinac Bridge...very interesting for you history buffs. Their menu also consists of sandwiches, subs, salads, wraps, and pasta dishes. Cute place near lots of shops. Great pizza.
Check it out after a day on the island.
