One of the many great places to eat down on Washington Square. I love their steak and onions sandwich. The meat has a sweetness to it that adds a lot to the taste. The french fries are always perfect. They are the thinner, McDonald's style fries with the perfect crispness to them. It does get busy around lunchtime, so plan accordingly.

In town for a hockey tournament and the boys were looking for a place to eat lunch. We stopped in on a Saturday around 2pm. Ordered a couple of gyros and the hummus special. Absolutely delicious! The rice that came with the hummus was the best I've ever had. The gentleman working the counter and making the food was very nice and accommodating. If we lived here we would certainly come back!!

This local chain has a few locations, and I associate it with college students (for the EL location), but I'm glad it's also available for the downtown Lansing crowd. When they are staffed well, even a long line can move fast. I tend to get the standards: gyro sandwich, greek salad. Their greek dressing is great (which is why they sell bottles in the restaurant). Atmosphere is typical of the downtown quick-bite options.

Stopped at Lou and Harry's for a quick lunch. Overall, the meal was good, and a good value.

The menu isn't too extensive, but there are a handful of sandwiches, salads, combinations, and burgers to choose from. Their specialty seems to be on the greek side of things.

The service was very good. Patrons place their order at the counter, and then pick up the order when it's done, either for take out, or at one of the dozen or so tables available. All of the "hot" food seems to be prepared to order, in that everything youy get is hot off the grill.

My gyro, small greek salad and drink for $7.99 seemed to be a good value, and was definitely tasty.

I wouldn't hesitate to come back here again.

Lou & Harry's Downtown open in the Fall of 2014. You order and they call your number when food is ready. I had the Pastrami Bomber sandwich which was very good. Will eat here again.
