We ended up here by "default" the restaurant down the street had a long line, so we decided to try here even with two very picky eaters! ...could have been a disaster! But it was absolutely delightful! We were a table of six and Yaseem was our outstanding, very patient, professional and friendly server. She made some great recommendations, knew the menu very well (surprising b/c its only been open 2 weeks!) and had an awesome memory for getting three fleets of beer and 13 dishes correct! Just amazing! We really enjoyed her balance between serving us, keeping an eye on our needs, causal conversation and the care she took with the most picky eater!

Loved the beer selections; not a new concept for GR, but they offered a diverse selection; something for everyone, with interesting descriptions in their 3 choice fleet. Tried a sour beer, not for me (probably in general!) but loved the other two choices. Our group didn't try any cocktails or wine, but the selection was very good; wide range of tastes and prices. Fun under 21 drinks.

We enjoyed passing around several "bites" including two types of edamame, the wasabi hummus, tom yum soup, all excellent and very well priced. Under small plates, I had the Vietnamese chicken salad with sesame crackers ($9) and it could have been my entire meal; it was perfect for the picky eaters with subtle flavors. Also enjoyed the Shrimp Pad Thai ($15) passed around a excellent Bibimbap "the bomb" per the 21 year old and the Galbi marinated beef short rib serving was in a great sauce and just the right portion size (not massive!) One picky eater had the Malaysian crispy chicken wings and loved it while his main, spicy marinated pork dinner stayed mainly on his plate, but was enjoyed by the group. Part of getting to know a menu.

The only very minor detraction for me was the noise level; with high ceilings, and modern, clean look, there is little material to absorb the conversation noise; would suggest exploring options to lower the noise level. They do offer outside seating and a inviting long bar. Prices were very reasonable for such high quality ingredients. Portions aren't overwhelming but filling. We did take home several items to enjoy later.

Excellent food, fun experience, wonderful service by Yassem and Ando helped to open, develop and explore the palates of two picky eaters, so we will be back!

I was lucky enough to be chosen to attend the soft opening and experience what ando has to offer.

Starting off with the Lemon Betty to sip on, paired with the Wasabi Hummus, I knew this was going to be an incredible evening of flavor-filled imaginative dishes and cocktails.

A couple friends joined me at the bar and we decided to dive right in.

ando scallop, tom yum soup, malaysian crispy chicken wings, kimbap AND bibimbap. AMAZING.

The sauces that come with the wings, while delicious, are unnecessary. The wings are seasoned perfectly and lightly fried to perfection.

You can read the descriptions on the menu for more information, but what an explosion of flavors!

Drinks you ask? We rifled through the menu, as we should. Even threw a Sapporo in there for good measure.

What a great addition, not only to the West Side, but to Grand Rapids as a whole.

I cannot wait to try the rest of the menu and see what else this amazing place has in store!
