“Great spot for fall R & R but close enough to play tourist!”
Reviewed 26 September 2017 for a stay in September 2017

We just returned for a fabulous 4 night getaway at Mullett Manor. By luck we had the hottest weekend of the year (late September!) so enjoyed the dock, lake and the fire pit. The house was well equipped with lots of fans, and all the amenities we needed. It is a cottage, not a fancy house, but was clean and well maintained. Walmart is short drive away at the edge of Cheboygan, where you can find food, booze and water toys when it is in the high 80s!
We were well under an hour to the ferry docks to Mackinac. If you catch the Mighty Mac run, you travel a few extra minutes but tour under the bridge. The horse drawn ride was worth the $35 to get a good look at the island, its history and an entertaining guide. And then there’s the fudge.
It was also about an hour to the Lake Michigan coast; starting with a winery, we then went on to Harbor Springs (quaint village) to begin the Tunnel of Trees drive to Legs Inn for dinner and sunset. (Thanks for the tip Barbara).
The location was perfect for us as we met friends at this convenient halfway point (about 15 minutes off I75). I assume the lake gets busier in the summer months, but stays warm late into the season because it is so shallow. There’s a marina very close by where you can rent boats.
Barbara was easy to deal with, returned messages quickly and followed through on requests.
Would love to return!

“A quiet relaxing place.”

The location was perfect! The waterfront was right out the front door. The cottage was clean and had all the comforts of home. There wasn't anything we needed that wasn't available. Barbara was quick with responses and answered all our questions. She even checked in with us during our stay to make sure everything was going well. The location too was a great advantage as it made day trips to Mackinaw, Harbor Springs, etc. very easy. Will definitely rebook if in the area again!

“Beautiful, Peaceful Cottage on the Lake.”
Reviewed 9 May 2013 for a stay in July 2012

My family and I (4 adults, 3 young children) stayed here last summer and couldn't have been happier with our stay. The cottage is charming, mostly updated, and tastefully decorated! The lake was perfect for the kids to swim in and we all enjoyed our nights by the fire pit. It is quiet yet not secluded and also a short drive to town. Super place and would definitely stay here again.
