I've just returned from the Grove, after spending two nights for a reunion with friends - 14 adults and 3 babies. We fit in very comfortably. The Grove is really well appointed and comfortable. The downstairs has two sitting rooms, a cloakroom and an enormous kitchen with room for 14 to sit around the table. The layout makes for a very sociable time, with spaces for crowds, and spaces for quiet. The bedrooms are great - the three ensuite rooms on the first floor are rather luxurious and the bathrooms are lovely. Because this is a real home, the other bedrooms feel more 'lived in', but they were clean and tidy and the beds were very comfortable so we had no complaints. Finally, Juliet left us with some nice touches - some milk, a bottle of wine and some delicious home made jam. The location is great - quick to get to from London on the train to Twyford, easily accessible from the M4. The local village is very picturesque, the pub (the Bell) is a classic ancient village pub well worth a visit, and we enjoyed a nice 5k walk through the countryside (with a pub stop off, of course). I can highly recommend staying here.
