Recently my family gathered in Worcester for my nephew’s wedding. The day before the wedding we gathered for lunch at the Sole Proprietor. What a delicious meal! Excellent selections are all fresh and well prepared. The service was attentive and helpful in explaining the menu.

We happened to be in Worcester for a benefit concert, wanted seafood, and took a chance that we were not too far from Boston or New Bedford to get good fish. The Sole Proprietor specalive in fish. Excellent food and waitstaff.

This is a quiet and cozy restaurant in the middle of Worcester city and has good food and great service. Our food service was done by a trio of waiters who rotated attentively throughout the various courses of our dinner.

The wine selection is decent, the food is good and the service is excellent.
We had an Italian Pinot Grigio wine that went well with the seafood that we ordered.
We only ordered seafood dishes (Haddock, Shrimp) and they were decent to good.
The dinner portion sizes are huge so keep that in mind when ordering.

The waiters are attentive and we felt well taken care of during the entire meal.

This is a good place for intimate meals. We chose a booth and unfortunately the leg room was not enough and I am not a tall person. The seating in the booth is tight and leg room was the only negative experience. I recommend asking for a table, instead of a booth, if you want lots of space and leg room.

Overall good experience...and recommend this place.

For the middle of Worcester, this is a great place. All the buttons are pushed. Well trained staff, quick service and fresh fish. My son had the fish and chips which was good but way too much for one serving. I had the sole, probably 8-9 filets which was also too much and the fish was not seasoned. All the sides come in dishes which makes for a cluttered table. A great value for the money but a little more focus on making each dish personal to the diner would go a long way.
