Exceptional really does sum up the Clean Slate tasting experience. Every bit of every plate is thoughtfully constructed starting with the oysters served with lemon horseradish granite all the way to the sugared blueberries and cocoa-strawberry ice cream for dessert.

The service was amazing and the atmosphere is communal and welcoming. You really get an appreciation of your meal as it's all plated right in front of you.

Plan ahead because there are only 16 seats in this great Dennis find, but it's well worth the effort.

Thank Tony C

I have been wanting to go to this restaurant since they opened and, finally, all the circumstances were right and I recently had a chance to go with my daughter and son-in-law. It was so worth the wait! The restaurant itself is tiny, giving it a very cozy atmosphere. Everyone is given each course at the same time while the chef and staff explain what is being presented, with details such as where it is sourced and how it is prepared. By the first course, it is already like dining out with a group of friends. The prep work is done up front which makes it a show as well as a dining experience. The plating's are beautiful and creative, and every single bite was a little bit of heaven. The hanger steak was perfectly charred on the outside, tender and delicious on the inside. The smashed bleu-cheese fingerling potatoes with Buffalo "caviar" were the perfect accompaniments. The Cod was probably the best I have ever tasted. The numerous courses were each exquisitely prepared and full of flavor. Dessert was peach cobbler served hot from the oven. While this may sound like a rather pedestrian choice for such a gourmet dinner, let me hasten to correct that notion! Serving it with cream cheese ice cream and sea-salt caramel raised it to unimagined heights. To turn fabulous into perfection, we ordered the wine tasting menu to go with the food. Perfect choices all the way. Jay knows his wine as well as his food. By the time we left, we felt as though we had shared something very special with every person there, from patrons to wait staff. By the way - the menu changes weekly so you never know what delights await. Needless to say, they sell out fast so get your reservations as soon as you can. You really, really don't want to miss this one.

This is a very small place that totally caters to its patrons with a single seating of a multi course dinner. Each course is plated and served beautifully in front of you. It can be matched with wine pairings. The food was unique, the flavors exquisite! This is a dining experience.

What a treat! I had read the positive reviews but still was bowled over by this restaurant. The food is inventive and delicious and beautifully plated. The staff is warm and inviting without being in your face. The first taste of what was to come - a fresh from the ocean oyster topped with a lemon horseradish granita - had to be one of the best oysters I have ever had. Each item in the 7-course meal plus roll with sorghum butter, and intermezzo of cranberry vodka encapsulated in gelee, finished with a blood orange gel candy was spot on. The food shone with each ingredient showcased beautifully. If I had to pick a favorite, it was the pan seared dayboat scallop with chorizo creamed corn, chilaquiles and lime crema. This dinner is akin to what you would have in Boston or any other urban foodie center. We are so lucky to have this restaurant here on Cape Cod where restaurants can be run-of-the-mill. Thanks Clean Slate!

You can learn all about the Clean Slate Eatery by checking their website. You will get an idea of the changing weekly menu full of locally sourced items and amazing creations. Each course is a treat including the unique plating, whether it be a rock or piece of slate or beautiful pottery or cigar box. Small intimate dining room where you can watch the team of three prep and display each course. The owner/chef/host Jason is personable and clearly passionate about creating a unique and special dining experience. Plan to spend a most enjoyable 2.5 hours at Clean Slate Eatery. We were first timers here in July of 2017 and are already planning our repeat visit with family next year.
