This is not your average Mexican restaurant. The food is authentic and innovative. The blackboard specials are always a struggle as you'll want to order it all. The specials change with the seasons offering whatever is fresh and local. If mussels are available you have to go for it - packed with flavor and just enough kick. For starters, the ribs are just what you'd expect - fall off the bone goodness. The octopus and mushroom although sounds like an odd combo is northing short of amazing. I'm partial to the seafood mains but had an outstanding braised lamb shank special. The most important part of the evening is the fresh jalapeno margarita. Out of this world. I've recommended them to many friends who now can't stay away. The service is wonderful. You're greeted with open arms when checking in and feel well taken care of all evening long. This is a special place.
