Description: The word Gustazo means great pleasure and “darse or dar un Gustazo” means to treat oneself or someone else to something special. Located in the heart of downtown Waltham overlooking the Common, Gustazo aims to bring authentic Cuban flavors to the vibrant Boston restaurant scene. Its festive and original decor embodies the spirit of Havana, with elements of Spanish colonial architecture, reminiscence of the 1950s and colorful Cuban modern art. In the kitchen, modern interpretations of classic Cuban dishes are crafted daily with the best available ingredients. When visiting this lively neighborhood restaurant, savoring our authentic Cuban fare and listening to our carefully selected compilation of Cuban music, we aim that you our guest, will have a Gustazo!

My first time at Gustazo, all the food was excellent. I'll be returning often.
The flavors were full, the ingredients fresh and presentation was very good.
Like all great places, the restaurant is small so travel compact.

City parking is around the corner, which is a rare find in and around Boston

Well worth the stop

The space is small, so every time the door was open, a cold blast of air came in. Both my wife and I, along with other diners, had to leave their jackets on while eating.

There was only one waiter for the whole restaurant, so service was painfully slow.

The food was good, though not worthy of the prices. The Cuban mojito tasted of seltzer and lime juice....almost certain the bartender forgot the rum. Mentioned it to the waiter, whose only response was "sorry".

Won't be back.

I took my small group of coworkers to dinner after a training day. The seating is a little cramped but the atmosphere is lively and pleasant. The staff are eager to explain the menu which includes a variety of delicious tapas plates. There is something for everyone which makes it a great place for a group with diverse tastes. The plates come out as they are ready so food is fresh and did I say delicious?! It also allows for dinner to have plenty of interaction without stretching out for hours. We reordered several things after we tried them just to get another taste. Plenty of food, reasonably priced, good service! They also serve a selection of specialty coffee/tea and a nice sangria but not a full bar. Enjoy!

Stopped in from a quick bite to eat on an early afternoon weekend. The service couldn't have been better. No experts on Cuban cuisine but our selections were all met with favorable satisfaction. Ingredients were fresh, decent portions, and cooked to quality standards. One nit picking note, it is small so on a cold day if you have a choice of seating, stay away from tables with the door draft. brrrr....
