Spotted retro Cafe on Google maps and decided to drop in there. Lots of interesting things to look at in the shop and the coffee and the iced coffee are made to perfection.

The shop is colourful, quirky and interesting. The coffees and chai lattes were very good.
The service wasn’t welcoming.
Visit the great butcher over the road!!

Had received a recommendation to drop in here for a coffee on one of my many work related trips from Brisbane to Maryborough. Dismal service, the girl behind the counter looked like shed been sucking lemons. She offered no welcome or greeting despite me being the only person in the shop at that time. Her order taking communication consisted of a grunt and raised eyebrows. The guy making the coffee was similar and expressionless even though I made eye contact and smiled. The shop at least was interesting with many items of memorabilia from my childhood on display. The coffee arrived and was placed on the counter without a thank you and the server turned their back and walked away. Great business promotion guys!

The coffee? To my basic taste was weak in strength, unremarkable in flavour but I have had worse. Needless to say, I won't be going back in on my next journey.

I went to retro coffee today in Tiaro. I have been here several times and had good service. Today was absolutely disgusting embarrassing and shameful for Retro Coffee.

Their service or should I say lack thereof was comically pathetic.

They did not give me the right order and when I politely requested a replacement they refused saying that I placed the wrong order. The male manager was absolutely abhorrent in his demeanor and frightened me and my children. I do not recommend to go to this shop and I will certainly not return. Overpriced rubbish.

He argued with me and berated me in front of 10 or so customers. A real chauvinistic attitude.

After selecting two cookies from the front counter, I left the cookies at the counter as I looked around the shop waiting to be served. After noticing a racist art piece on the wall and a Make America Great Again cap in the shop, I decided I was not going to be spending my money there and left. The shopkeeper began yelling at me and then followed me out, standing in the door way, yelling at me in the street. He demanded that I return to the shop and put the two cookies that I had left on the counter back. It was an intimidating experience to be followed out and yelled at in the shop and the street. Furthermore, it was humilating as the shopkeeper made out that I had stolen from him.
