An unusual pit stop just off the Bruce Highway, sat on the corner of the road in Tiaro, can’t miss it with all the retro oil drum furniture outside, the young man serving was very pleasant & friendly. They have a range of retro items for sale including the furniture, worth stopping for 5 minutes, great coffee 👍.

My partner had mentioned this little retro cafe and that he would like to take me here as it’s the sort of places I like.
They have old oil drum furniture out the front which is also available for purchase.
The store is filled with all kinds of retro treasure to look at with a small amount of it actually for sale. It was more so the jewelry they had for sale.
The young gentleman that served us was very friendly and was asking about our journey.
It was such a hot day so we decided on iced coffee and iced chocolates. These were very good.

The only suggestion I would make is having some snacks/light meals such as premade sandwiches.
They did have some biscuits available for purchase however.

So pleased we held out grabbing a coffee until we reached Tiaro! Retro Espresso is, well, very retro from the outside...we quickly looked up reviews which said they made seriously good coffee. The positive reviews were spot on. Hands down one of the best long blacks I’ve had..and I am a bit of a coffee tragic! Service was super friendly, lots of locals dropping in, retro bric a brac etc for sale. Oh, and the home made muesli biscuit/?rock cake and the passion fruit slice were to die for. Now for a return trip up the Bruce Highway!

When you visit Tiaro you have to stop at Retro Espresso.
Enjoy one of the best coffee you'll ever drink and have a look at the wonderful things in and in front of the shop.
I'll stop here everytime I can.

Recommended by a colleague in Maryborough, quick stop to this corner cafe with character, with an abundance of retro items, i wonder if im showing my age, or have lived another life vicariously through my parents, ordered a mocha, and would have to be the most smoothest tasting coffee ive had and not heavy on the chocolate. Passion fruit slice was light and very tasty, good atmosphere and throw back tunes (way back) cranking, with passing traffic does not interrupt the overall atmosphere, i was impressed.
