During the summer months the Bridge of Flowers offers arrays and beautiful fragrances of flowers. I️ enjoy going to visit through the spring to summer because of the changing variety of blooms. So pretty
In the winter you can see ice chunks float down the river.

After travelling for a few hours, we found ourselves in Shelbourne Falls. Needing to take a few moments to stretch our legs, we decided to walk across the Bridge of Flowers that had been dedicated to local veterans. My wife enjoyed the variety of seasonal flowers and we concluded that we will return in the future.

My wife and I visited the Bridge of Flowers in Shelburne Falls, Massachusetts, during a tour of New England. We decided to go, as it was recommended in our guide book and it was certainly worth the detour.
When we saw the bridge from the adjacent road bridge over the Deerfield River, we were rather disappointed, as the outside of the bridge is rather stark, apart from a few mature trees and shrubs draping over the outside. However, when we walked onto the bridge and took the narrow path over it, we were pleased that we had decided to visit. There were flowerbeds on both sides of the path with a wide variety of shrubs and plants, notably dahlias, which were all in full bloom. It was so good that we walked it in both directions
It was one of the more interesting and memorable places we visited during our tour.

Originally built in 1908 as a trolley bridge to cross the Deerfield River, this is a beautiful attempt at regeneration. I did read the plaque that explains who first converted it into a bridge of flowers but my memory cells are not at their full capacity!
We were there on a sunny day in October and the display was fantastic. I appreciate that the display will depend on the time of year you visit but even if all you get are the gnarled trees growing around the lamplight supports it is still nature at it's best.
Take the time to take photo's and walk it in both directions because you see something new that way.

We been there is November, so no flower at all but the view from the bridge is nice anyway. Enjoy the walk.
