Really very nice in every way. The location is excellent -- just steps from Commercial street but still quiet. The rooms are everything you could want and more, and the pool is an especially nice feature in the summer. But the very best thing about it is the atmosphere which is friendly and welcoming and genuine and pleasant.

Highlights include:

1. The breakfasts (omg those cinnamon rolls)
2. The atmosphere...so friendly and unfussy, you really didn't feel like you were walking on eggshells, or inconveniencing anyone, just welcome and comfortable, it was really nice.
3. The bose music system with the pre-made mix cd already in it AND the cord to attach your ipod or cell phone already there. I can't tell you how annoying it is to show up at a hotel or B&B and they have an ipod-compatible system but no cord.
4. The individually controlled air conditioning.
5. The showerhead (some places take the water conservation thing a little too seriously)
6. The view from our room (i love being able to see the water)
7. The pool.
8 So many outlets and USB chargers OMG.
9. The ingenious underbed storage
10. The actual glasses and utensils in the room. I hate plastic.

We have been coming to Provincetown for over 20 years. Our previous go-to place was The Brass Key, when it was still owned by Michael McIntyre. It changed when it was sold to new owners and we have since been looking for a place of equivalent quality and good service.

This year we decided to give 8 Dyer a try and were very pleased.

The Inn is in a quiet location just steps from Commercial Street. It is small (7 rooms) but laden with amenities - it is one of the few places in Provincetown with a swimming pool. It also has a Jacuzzi. The owners also make other amenities available to guests, such as bikes, beach chairs, and umbrellas.

The building looks traditional outside, but inside has been completely renovated with modern decor and infrastructure. Our room (#10) was small inside, but well furnished, quiet, and had a large private balcony overlooking the pool area. The bed, pillows, and sheets/towels are good quality and very comfortable.,

A cooked breakfast buffet was served daily from 9-10:30 AM in the common room. It had eggs, usually some meat (bacon, sausage, etc) , potatoes, cheeses, cold cuts, some innovative salads, granola, various muffins or coffee cake ,etc . A great way to start the day.

The owners are very responsive - we had a problem with the AC in our room on one of the hottest days of the year and they handled it quickly and efficiently so we had no problems with our stay.

Similarly, requests to borrow the bikes, get access to our car, etc were handled in an efficient and friendly manner.

The owners have also opened a brunch restaurant, just around the corner from the inn, called Yolk. We didn't get a chance to try it on this visit, but perhaps on a future visit.

Overall it was a great stay and I highly recommend 8 Dyer when in Provincetown.

My wife and I stated at 8 Dyer Street in August, and we had a really great stay. Rooms were decorated to a high standard, modern and clean, and we made good use of the pool and indoor spa facilities. Breakfast was delicious, and made/ served by the lovely Steve and Brandon. We would definitely recommend.

My husband and I have been coming to Provincetown since 1999 and this year, we decided to try 8 Dyer Hotel and we were so happy with our decision.

The decor is modern yet comfortable, and having a pool is such a plus especially in Ptown!

The staff is super friendly and breakfast is worth waking up at 9am!

We stayed at one of the penthouse with the hot tube and the bed was so comfortable. From Nespesso, complimentary snacks and Malin & Geotz, they pay attention to all the details.

The Inn is clean, modern and well designed. Steve and Brandon, the owners, and Shane, part of the 8 Dyer family, are attentive, kind, and very positive. My husband and I had a relaxing vacation. I would recommend this place to anyone who would like a premier experience when staying in P-town. The attention to detail was very impressive. The Jacuzzi tub in the loft of our room was amazing.
