Somewhat small but very good food and great service. May be that the feeling of being small is due to the popularity of this place. Great menu and reasonable prices.

Maguire's Bar and Grill is one of our favorite restaurants. The food is excellent and the staff are friendly. My favorites include the Shepard's Pie and the Burgers. My wife enjoys their Fish Tacos, Fish and Chips, and Mediterranean Tapas.
It can get quite noisy during normal dinner times and we prefer to eat around 4:30 before the crowds arrive.
Maguire's has standard fare and creative dishes and I have never had a bad meal here. You get quality food at moderate prices!

We were told it was a very special place and food was outstanding, so may be we had expected too much. The restaurant was full on the weekday, not just full, packed! It took us about 20 min to get a table. There was plenty of interesting choices and we ordered too much, of course. The food was OK, simple with average presentation, served in the dark and rowdy place, it did not live up to the expectations. Thanks god for friendly, helpful and professional service by Taylor; she saved the night! We are not sure we'd be back.

I really thought this was going to be your run of the mill Irish bar with the usual American/ Irish staples but i'm happy to report it wasn't!
Maguire's is located in a strip mall on Foundry street/Rt 106, parking can be difficult as the liquor store next door has snagged several prime spots out front, but theres a bank next door in the adjacent lot that offers a good overspill.
Walking in theres a small bar facing you with about 15-20 seats and the dining area is all around the bar and extends to the right side. The place is a little dark, but the tables are well lit so reading the menu was easy.
Hostess took our name and told us about 25-35 mins for a table so we headed to the bar which is very well appointed with all the usual favorites and a local brew that i believe rotates.
Timing was pretty good as we were seated in about 25 mins, our server was Stephanie who was very efficient and delightful.
On the walls are chalk boards showing the specials, some of which are also listed in the menu. If you sit near the bar, there is a rather strong smell of ammonia that i think comes from the dish/glass washer behind the bar, but nothing too intrusive.
The menu is quite large and diverse, Irish staples are in there, but more gastro friendly selections can also be found like Lobster ravioli, scallops, clams, steaks and plenty of sandwich selections.
Crusty warm bread rolls were brought out first and these were delicious.
We started with the chicken honey knots, i highly recommend these to share, excellent morsels of chicken in a sweet and tangy honey sauce served with blue cheese dressing, carrots and celery.
For main course i had one of the specials, the fish and chips. I'm not a fan of fish pieces i prefer the whole loin of haddock but this was served in pieces and i must say it was very good. Batter was little thin but tasty, the fish itself was outstanding, delicate, brilliant white flakes of haddock, insanely fresh and cooked perfectly, chips were not hand cut but frozen but they were crisp and hot.
#2 had one of the special soups, an incredible butternut squash with apple and walnuts, this soup was so good i'd go back and have that as dinner with the crusty rolls.
Stephanie, our server was excellent, prices were very reasonable, so i'm sure we will be back.

Went to Maguire's late afternoon on a Saturday - the place was pretty full, and by the time we left, there were people waiting for tables.
I ordered one of the specials, which was a fried clam plate. It was huge! Never had such a big portion like that. The clams were sweet and juicy, and the cole slaw was fresh. I took half the order home and had it for dinner the next night, that's how much they gave me. My husband ordered the turkey tips and he brought half of his home, too. If you're looking for a great place with good food, this is it.
