“Beautifully presented "pied-a-terre"!”

Francie and Bob have created a delightful pied a terre in Sweet Chestnut, beautifully pulled together with the furnishings and decor...we loved the place!
We stayed 2 nights and would have loved to stay longer and fully explore Marblehead and Salem. ... probably a week would be best!
The weather was unfortunately wet on our main day as the rain made it more like autumn in the UK, however we have enjoyed stunning weather in the last 2 weeks so can't complain and on our last day the sun shone and we saw Marblehead and the coast at its best.
Whilst we only met Bob he was very approachable and offered to guide us if needed, sadly we ran out of time to take up his generous offer
Sweet Chestnut is well located in a quite residential street but turn left and you have stunning views across to the Neck; turn right and right and there are lots of restaurants and shops close by.....if you feel the need to burn some energy I highly recommend a 5 mile run around the Neck early on a crisp sunny morning!

Dear Paul,
Wow, what a splendid review you've left us! Thank you so much. You clearly did take good advantage of our little town, despite the UK-like weather! We hope you'll consider returning one day, and letting us host you again. Great thanks, and all the best to you and Joanne.

We really liked this place. Modern amenities, very comfortable, and quiet. Perfect for 2-3 people. Walking distance to restaurants, harbor, and key sites. Quick drive to Salem. Easy parking on the street. Nice owners.

We recently bought a home in Marblehead. If we didn't, this would be our go to home away from home.

“Great getaway!”

We booked this for a quiet getaway and it didn't disappoint. Bob and Francie were available for any requests or questions. The Chestnut Sweet is a cozy place and perfect for a quiet, romantic getaway. We ventured into Salem, in hopes of some Hocus Pocus. That was the only disappointment of our trip, not seeing a floating spell book. The Sweet is close to the bay and all that Marblehead has to offer. Great place to stay! If you have never been, contact Francie immediately and they will steer you in the right direction. Thank you Bob and Francie for an amazing stay!

My sister and I wanted to get away for a week and explore Marblehead and Salem for the first time. ChestnutSweet was the perfect place to stay. Our hosts Francie and Bob were so gracious - available whenever we needed them and providing terrific local advice on great things to see and do. When we arrived, we found a lovely bottle of wine to start our wonderful stay. The cottage is immaculate and beautifully decorated in soft hues with amazing attention to detail. In addition to the great layout of rooms, we were treated to a cozy gas fireplace, soft fluffy robes, and a stash of coffee pods just waiting to warm a chilly morning. We loved the location, being on a street that ends with a sea view to the causeway and beyond. During our stay, we walked all over Marblehead proper which is a terrific place in and of itself! Restaurants in town are really good! We were minutes away from Salem and also took a 40 minute drive to Essex and Danvers. Loved this place!

Looked exactly as pictured. Owners were very nice and accommodating. They have thought of everything you will need for your stay, like being at home. A great use of space and tastefully decorated. The bed was very comfortable. Only a short walk to the water. You will not be disappointed.
