I had the grilled squid with a side of broccoli rabe instead of the potatoes. It was excellent. It went well with a nice bottle of Portuguese vino verde

Our second time in three years eating here, and we should have returned sooner! Certainly not a fancy place but the food was great, prices reasonable and the service/personal attention was top notch. Marcos our server was very informative regarding the food and wine and had a great sense of humor and personality. We will absolutely return again soon. If you want something authentic try this place out.

Good Portuguese food served here and at fair prices. The service is typically good. The restaurants decor is not the greatest, lol, but good food at good prices. Give it a try.

We dined here a year ago and returned last night and were thoroughly pleased. The place is smallish but pleasant. The staff were excellent and very friendly. We shared a wonderful order of clams Portuguese style which was clams covered with a small piece of bacon and a very flavorful sauce -,could have eaten a bucket of those. My grilled squid were delicious as was her Mariscada. We passed on dessert. The menu was full of traditional offerings which made selection a bit of a challenge.

This restaurant is the reincarnation of a long lasting restaurant formerly known as Montalegre, that has been around for many years. Under new management, same location, good food and somewhat slow services (maybe because they want you to enjoy your food undisturbed). There is an expanded bar and another room and some renovations have taken place. I visited the place several time over the last year, usually on Friday evening, with friends. A good long drive for dinner and Fridays could be quite busy at the restaurant. (Reservations may help)

Plenty of excellent Portuguese food, including the Cod, it was great, the octopus and rice with monk fish, also mini clams and Shrimp for appetizers. Desert ask for bolo de Bolacha which is made, by the owner, with whipped cream and Portuguese crackers . You can also request Pasteis de Nata.
Quinta da Pacheca reserve wine is a good choice.
For the summer they have outdoor dining. Parking is available on the Street.
