This was our second stay at the Inn. Exactly 4 years ago, we had our first weekend away as a couple there, and had such a memorable, romantic experience, we decided to do it again. The Inn was beautifully decorated for Christmas, with a gorgeous roaring fire to greet us in the living room. I can't say enough about the breakfast - it was decadent! Fresh yogurt and granola, warm muffins, and eggs Benedict with salmon. The service was fantastic and friendly, and the property is beautiful! Can't wait to do it again!

The Inn at Castle Hill is one of our favorite places to stay. The picturesque setting by the sea is beautiful and there are scenic walking paths throughout the property that we really enjoy. The rooms are charming and the beds are very comfortable. We love the peaceful, quiet atmosphere and the warm, welcoming staff always make us feel at home.

The Inn at Castle Hill is one of our favorite places to unwind. It is beautifully situated with views of the ocean, Crane Beach, and the marsh. It is quiet, and it has no TVs or telephones. There is a working fireplace in the common room which is wonderful on cold winter evenings. Breakfasts are gourmet and excellent. Service is spectacular - it's like having your very own servants, concierge, and welcoming friends. It is expensive, but the profit goes to The Trustees of Reservations, so you are supporting conservation while in the lap of luxury.

Crane Beach and the Great Salt Marsh are natural treasures of Massachusetts. You can walk to the beach from the Inn, or drive to the parking lot where you are closer to 4 more miles of beach and dunes. The dunes have walking trails, and you can wear yourself out for 7 or 8 miles if you feel up to it. My favorite place is the small pitch pine forest not far from the parking lot. It is magical.

You can also tour the Crane Estate and castle, and enjoy Frederick Law Olmsted's landscaping, which is pretty good, except that he planted Norway maples, which we now know are invasive. The European beeches behind the Inn are spectacular.

Room Tip: All rooms are good. There is one handicapped accessible room on the first floor.

A birthday gift, the Inn was a delight. The Inn is set on the historic Crane Estate. After a fascinating, educational tour of the Estate, the picturesque Inn provided a beautiful relaxing way to end the day.

Room Tip: The Florence room has a beautiful view
