We had booked a room in the new tower, as having read previous reviews we knew this would the quietest and more private. Thoroughly disappointed to be given a room overlooking the car park, NOTE- Only 3 or 4 of the very large suites in the tower have harbor views, beware of the marketing photos they are no representative!
So we moved to the old part of the hotel, 1st floor own access by a staircase right on the street, to get a view and private balcony this was our only option.
The room had been "renovated" but dark and dated furniture remained, including a very odd wardrobe that covered and internal door. There was a tub in the bedroom, and the bathroom was tiny, really so so small it was barely big enough for one, and the door was so warped it didnt close.
We did however still enjoy our stay regardless of the room issues, the view was good and we enjoyed sitting on the balcony watching to comings and goings in the harbor.
Location is perfect for the ferry, car park charges steep at $25 a day.
