“If I saw me I'd be jealous”

Great Cape Inn. Super rooms, great vibe, perfect location for shopping, dinner and beach. Moments from bike path. While sitting outside reading a book the owner came out and offered up a perfect Margarita and thanked us for coming. If I drove by and saw me, I'd be jealous.

At the end of June my boyfriend and I vacationed here. Being college students, we were on a very tight budget but were hoping to get away from Boston for a quiet, relaxing beach weekend. The inn was well kept and in a beautiful location. We were literally a two minute walk from a beautiful, semi private, quiet beach and a five minute walk from main street in Harwichport. Downtown in Harwichport offered some cute and affordable options for dining, as well as small breakfast shops and a great chocolatier. We had an amazing stay--the owner Michael was very friendly and present whenever you needed him. The room was clean and comfortable, a bit small if you were expecting a luxurious king sized room, but definitely ample for a relaxing getaway. All in all, we had a great time and hope to return next year! :)

Seadar was a very comfortable little room for a couple. Room size was small, but for the money, it was a very reasonably sized room for the Cape. The decor was very appealing, very Cape, the walls had a sort of whitewash paint job. Four pillows on the queen bed, two of two different styles, which I thought was a nice touch. Clean, quiet and comfortable. Flat screen TV, if that's important to you. The beach is literally 100yds from the Inn. Word of warning, this beach is only about 100yds long itself as it is bordered by "Private" beaches on each side. Breakfast was your typical continental, I didn't personally partake so I cannot comment as to the quality. Mike the proprietor was friendly. Harwich Port is a quaint little Cape town. There is an amazing restaurant a short walk away, the Cape Sea Grille, not to be missed.

We just came back from a trip in Cape Cod in this hotel. Over the course of our stay, we did not encounter a single problem. The continental breakfast was bigger than standard breakfasts and the staff were very friendly and willing to share their knowledge with you. Don't expect a five star hotel when you arrive but you have to love the five star beach just footsteps away. There was no swimming pool or fitness center because there was no need if you have a beach so close. Every night we came back, the room was clean and neat. Also, if you are caught on a rainy day, for a place like this, there is a wide selection of channels on cable TV. All in all this was a great stay, the location was very central in Harwich Port and Cape Cod along with the great beach and we cannot wait to visit again.

Room Tip: The ground floor or detached rooms do not have an ocean view since it is behind another hotel. Uppe...

The first time we stayed at the Seadar Inn was over 30 years ago. The last time we were there was 20 years ago. Some things changed of course, such as flat screen TVs in the room, but the overall experience was the same. We love the location, we love the setting and the beach couldn't be closer. It's a great place to meet people and relax after a day of sun and fun. We hope Mike H. gets to keep the Seadar Inn the way we remember it!
