We stayed at Jiminy Peak for the opening weekend at the Tanglewood opening weekend. It is about 35 minutes drive from the hotel to Tanglewood, but there are so many scenic routes to take that the journeys were a pleasure.
From the outside the hotel looked fine - clean and brightly painted. But inside the public rooms and corridors were dark - with shabby carpets and dark cream colored walls. The suites were large with bedroom, bathroom, kitchen area and living space with a sofa, one armchair and a coffee table. The bedroom and bathroom were clean and the kitchen area well equipped with fridge, dish washer, microwave and two cooker rings, but the living room was in need of some cleaning. The floor was covered in stains and so were the sofa and chair. When we moved the sofa it was clear that it had not been moved to clean under for a very long while. We expect better for over $200 per night.
Such a pity as the location is so picturesque.More
