Description: We are an old-fashioned homemade ice cream and candy store. Located in the charming small town of Easthampton, Massachusetts, we make all our own ice cream right on the premises! With high tin ceilings, hardwood floors and a soda fountain counter with red bar stools, our shop will take you back to a simpler time. You can find us on Cottage Street, on the Nashawannuck Pond, and right up the street from the boardwalk. We're open year-round.

Mt Tom Ice Cream is a family-run place that handmakes the absolutely creamiest ice cream I have ever had. This is a super-premium ice cream, with about 30 flavors available plus frozen yogurt. Milkshakes, sundaes, and about 90 jars of different kinds of penny candy in a an old ice-cream parlor setting. I grew up in Easthampton and remember a number of similar places in town back when dinosaurs walked the earth. This place brings back those memories and when you walk in you will see two or three generations enjoying this freshly made (in the back room) ice cream. The smiles of the patrons tell the tale of this wonderful establishment. It is worth a side trip or a special trip to try their ice cream which include a number of changing flavors. I am a chocolate guy, and I measure the quality of a product by consistently trying the same flavor. And I rate their chocolate a 100, an A++++. There were four people in my party and our flavors included the aforementioned chocolate, chocolate peanut butter cup, birthday cake and pistachio. It is not cheap but it is worth it. If I lived closer I would be here almost every day!

Watch them make especially good ice cream on site! All good here. Community Gem. Look at the Candy section and pick out Old or New Favorites. Check the art and Photos by the owner.

Olde fashioned confections and home made ice cream.
Did I mention home made fudge and chocolate delicacies?
Enjoy your favorite treats inside at a table, outside at the bistro's (by the ever-present, always full water bowl for your dogs), or stroll over to the new Boardwalk and enjoy them overlooking Nashawanuck Pond and Mount Tom.
Oh!, the service is always First Rate...
Grab the family (or a date) and GET OVER THERE!

Mt. Tom ice cream is rich and tasty, many flavors to pick from and their sundaes are incredible. The place is pretty busy but I have never had to wait long. In the summer you can walk to the nearby pond and sit in the benches by the water to eat your ice cream.

Such a great place for a cool treat on a hot day. So many flavors of ice cream that there is something for everyone. They have jars and jars of candy there as well. Lots of treats!

The ice cream is hand-scooped by friendly staff who are very patient when you are struggling over your choice of this tasty treat. We got our cones and headed down to the lake and sat on benches while licking away at our ice cream before it had a chance to melt all over our hands in the sunshine.

Parking is available along the street or in some of the small lots in the area. It was crowded when we visited. This is definitely a popular spot with the local crowd.
