Top notch in all respects. Service excellent, diversified menu. Duck and sole were perfection and with generous portions. The same goes for desert. My profiterole was large and tasty, excellent coffee as well. This is one of our favorite places on the Cape.

My sister and I had always admired the red building that is The Red Pheasant. We decided to try their early bird special recently. We were seated in a room with windows all along one side which looked out onto a garden area. We both opted for the day boat scallops with squash risotto accompanied by spinach Caesar salad. This choice was $37. The salad was excellent and included an asiago cheese crisp on top! Our server brought us focaccia bread and cheese puffs. Our entrees were a generous size. The risotto was surrounded by seven or eight scallops! The risotto was tasty, but the scallops were bland. Usually day boat scallops are sweet and full of flavor. Our dessert choices were profiteroles! They were the most tasty I've ever had! The fudge sauce tasted home-made and the ice cream and whipped cream added a perfect blend of cool and sweet. We will return and try a different menu option. The setting and warmth of the staff is special.

Lovely ambiance and great food. We were lucky to be visiting on restaurant week and were only disappointed that some of our first choice items like the scallop entre and creme brûlée were no longer options from the fixed menu. Otherwise a wonderful meal -

A cozy atmosphere, eclectic menu, wonderful service! Such a special place to have a visit with a good friend or a great place for a romantic dinner for two! We went in the Fall, when there was a cozy fire going, and thoroughly enjoyed some great cocktails, appetizers, and very tasty entrees. It's a perfect place for a special occasion!
