I do not believe we were informed the hotel is under renovation. No reduction in the expensive price for a sub-par hotel. I am super fanatical about being sure the wake-up call is set correctly. Fortunately, we woke up without the call that never came. Several of the phone options did not work, for instance, dialing 9 as directed for an outside line just went to a recorded message having nothing to do with an outside line. The one working elevator was very slow and passengers usually included construction workers carrying big, dirty things. (Constructions workers had no choice.) The restaurant was a tiny dark room sparsely furnished with a several cheap table and chairs. There is an Italian restaurant near the hotel but they refuse to make take out orders. We were able to order in pizza from a local restaurant. The hotel "restaurant" offered some room service within limited times. I assume everything was frozen or pre-made and wouldn't try them. I tried calling the front test to ask if the fog horn sounding, loud noise coming from the bathroom at night was some sort of alarm but the front desk didn't answer. Front desk phone was not answered on several occasions. I learned later the noise was from a huge fan used because of the construction. The staff members were not rude but seemed unhappy with their jobs and exhausted. They probably fend off complaints all shift long. The room was clean but did not have any of the information one would normally see about local destinations and things to do. Parking was free and there was a good shuttle to Logan airport. The hotel should be ashamed for using the Wyndham hotel name to draw customers that may have been better off with Motel 6.
