Dining with three friends at The Bancroft exceeded our expectations! This is a very classy casual restaurant with a great design. Service was very friendly from being greeted through the entire meal. Waitstaff was very knowledgeable and efficient. Menu has something for everyone. We ordered double appetizers of Baked Clams and Prosciutto and Fig preserves. The Baked Clams were the best I've had, simply prepared with panko crumbs, chopped clams, clam broth, garlic and parsley. If you like baked clams, you'l love these, $12 for three stuffed clams, worht every penny. The Prosciutto & Fig was excellent all enjoyed. The entrees, Colorado Lamb Chops, meaty tasty and tender, 28 Day Dry Aged Rib Eye, medium Rare, simply grilled with a salt and pepper rub, was juicy, and tender you could cut with a fork, (highly recommend) Filet Mignon accompanied with two large Prawn (shrimp) was perfectly prepared. The sides were perfect, the Bag O Fries were the best french fries ever, we ordered two to share, mushrooms and creamed spinach equally as good. Great wine list and the desserts were fabulous. We will be going back to try the Pig Chop and crab cakes soon. You won;t be disappointed.
