As soon as we walk into Captain Freemans inn, I want to exhale a big AHHHHHHHHH, Greeted at the door, by the wonderful inn keepers Donna and Byron, and the good will ambassador Harrison, their adorable Labadoodle.
We have stayed many times in the past with Donna and Byron at Brewster by the sea. This is our second time at Captain Freemens. It was my significant others birthday, and Donna wrote the day before asking Jims favorite cake so she could make him something special. She made a beautiful cupcake tree of carrot cupcakes, the top one with candles and happy birthday Jim ( see her blog on Jims cupcakes) After a tour of the beautiful refurbished inn, we were shown to our room. Our room was beautiful furnished with so many special touches. A vase of fresh flowers, box of candy, wonderful soaps, special soft towels, the very softest sheets, I could go on and on.
The breakfast every morning is something from a magazine. Starts usually with juice, and some type of delicious fruit. After that is Byrons home made sorbet ( first day it was strawberry, second day blood orange) OMG the sorbet is wonderful! than came breakfast. First day was an omelet with fresh mushroom, and sun dried tomatoes, the second day was fresh pecan waffles. What can I say. I just wanted to start forever, in this special beautiful inn, being taken care of the these wonderful hosts. We have been to many Inns, there is none that exceeds these innkeepers Inn or care.. Captain Morgan Inn was everything that is pictured in their website and than some. Thank you Donna, Byron and of course Harrison, for making a special weekend for us. We can't wait to see you in the fall.

Room Tip: All rooms are unique with their own special touches, we love the rooms with the sun porch.

This was my first time visiting Cape Cod, and staying here made the entire experience absolutely amazing! The hosts, Donna and Byron, were sweathearts, and the stay and their breakfast were top notch! Absolutely recommend it, if you go to Cape Cod! :)

I have known Donna and Byron for quite some time now. What first began as a "let's try out this B&B and see how it goes" turned into an almost every-year tradition. And it is always fantastic staying at their inn. Donna and Byron are two of the kindest, most caring, most thoughtful people you will ever meet. Not only are their rooms beautifully laid out, comfortable and welcoming, but they think of everything you could possibly want on a weekend away: sweet treats in the afternoon, a pool to enjoy when the weather is warm, and arguably the best part of our stay, the breakfasts. I have Celiac disease and so I am gluten-free, and Donna makes the most sumptuous, creative, and finger-licking-good gluten-free breakfasts (and tea-time treats too!!) Donna and Byron are always very careful in the kitchen to keep things separated so as to avoid cross-contamination, and I can't tell you enough how much that puts my mind at ease. We always eat well when we come to visit the Captain Freeman Inn, and I am dreaming of their breakfasts now! And their coffee is delicious--always fresh, never burnt!
Additionally, the Captain Freeman Inn is located minutes from Orleans, Eastham, and Dennis where you will find fabulous restaurants and cafes, and cute shops too. Donna and Byron are happy to help in deciding where to go for dinner, as they know all the best places to try.
We are treated like family when we come to the Captain Freeman Inn. I can guarantee you will be treated like family, too.

Room Tip: Some rooms have fireplaces, but all have something unique to offer (walk-in showers, private porches, ample sitting-room area)

Ahhh Nora, thank you for this review and yes, you are like family! After all, it was your mom and you who first taught me the basics of how to cook gluten free. That information has been so invaluable, thank you. Just had to smile thinking that our gluten free recipes are finger licking good:) - what a compliment. Love to you and wishing you all the success in your internship, Donna, Byron and Harrison too

We first visited Cape Cod in 2002 and try to return almost every year since then. The Cape is an amazing destination with so much to do and see regardless of the season of the year. Each season brings to life new adventures in this magical destination. As a photographer I love its history, beaches, lighthouses, and venues. It even gets better in our world of digital photography. Attached are a few lower resolution pictures from some of our visits. There are many lodging options when visiting the Cape. My wife and I prefer to stay at Captain Freeman Inn, a beautiful B&B in Brewster, a central location for exploring all aspects of the Cape. The Inn itself is an historic building. But the rooms, the meals, and most importantly, the quality of care provided by its innkeepers, Byron and Donna, are exceptional, a 5 star rating in every regard. When you make plans to visit Cape Cod, please make sure you consider staying at Captain Freeman Inn. You will not be disappointed in the least.

I want to thank Byron and Donna for their assistance and hospitality today. I had a very delicious breakfast and the coffee was excellent. It is in a great location right next to the Brewster General Store. They have an electric charging station. I highly recommend this Brewster B&B.
