While Liam’s has sadly departed Nauset Beach, you can still get their fabulous onion rings here. A family affair, the recipe remains the same, just a different venue. If you’re longing to eat them by the water, Paines Creek is just up the road.

A classic clam shack type place, although this one also does ice cream, which is what we stopped for. Takeaway only, although they have some seating on the deck. There’s a long menu of seafood and an even longer one for the ice cream. We both settled on blueberry sundae – two big scoops of ice cream (we chose vanilla), squirty cream and a scattering of fresh blueberries. Nice. Stop if you’re passing along Route 6A.

Same onion rings as were at Liam's at Nauset Beach (which no longer exists sad to say, storms caused it to be taken down). Food is good as compared to other similar places around Brewster. Good ice cream either after a meal or on its own.

Not recommended folks, sorry. It’s the same as the old Liam’s at Nauset beach but without any of that “I’m hungry and at the beach” flair. 1/2 pint fried scallops lackluster at best and wayy overpriced, burger not too good and would have rather boiled up a couple Kayem franks instead of what I was given here.

Located right next to the kid’s museum and a beautiful refuge and trails, it’s easy to want to stop. Great ice cream and huge portions (a small is one flavor only but easily a large size most places). The seafood isn’t really anything to write home about. I had oysters and they weren’t very clean, lots of sand and pieces of shell. Friends had fried fish which had a very thick and dry batter and the fish was dry too. Coleslaw didn’t have enough dressing. French fries were a disappointment. But the onion rings were phenomenal. My kids also said they have the best grilled cheese ever. We’d definitely return, but not for the fried seafood.

Thank Karen M
