Papa Gino's
Ranked #96 of 139 Restaurants in Beverly
Cuisines: Pizza
Description: Founded in 1961 by the Valerio family in East Boston, Papa Gino's has been serving the same thin-crust Italian-style pizza and supporting local New England communities for over half a century. With dough made fresh daily in Walpole MA from just five simple ingredients, tomatoes harvested on the exact day for ripeness and real tomato taste, and an authentic medley of three premium cheeses, New Englanders will agree, nothing else tastes like Papa Gino's

This is very consistent pizza, that might not sound good but compared to places that are good one day and not the next, it is a good thing. Pizza is cooked right and not burnt. Chicken fingers and buffalo fingers are good as well. Side salads are pre-made but good. Take out is easy if you don't want to eat there.

Another staple for the Boston area. When I was in junior high I started eating this pizza. When they make it just right " most of the time" it's very good. It's pizza, the way it's supposed to be! Everyone from my era says its the best.

Went with friends (5) around 1:00pm on a Saturday. Only 3 tables occupied. Took 15 minutes for our meal for four. The 5th had to wait another 10 minutes. I ordered a Greek salad with 3 ingredients only. Lettuce was all ribs. Chopped tomatoes were wedges. Extra feta was not. Balsamic vinaigrette was not good. Pocket was good. My friend also ordered extra feta which she did not get either. Another person had salad with chicken. Chicken was cold. Good place to stay away from. Has gone down hill. Never was that great but not this bad either.
