Black Walnut Point Inn is located in the midst of a wildlife sanctuary but the sanctuary is for more than the wildlife. The beautiful location and the caring innkeepers makes this as much a sanctuary for the guests as for the wildlife. The sunrise over the Choptank River is spectacular - we stayed in one of the cabins with a huge bedroom window that faced the sunrise. The sunset over the Chesapeake Bay was equally spectacular. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. We arrived in the middle of a storm with wind gusts into the 30+ range but inside the cabin it was quiet and cozy. The storm blew out overnight leaving us with a clear and blustery day. The location is perfect for exploring Tilghman Island, St. Michaels, and Oxford (which we did).
