I spent 4 months working in Silver Spring as an intern, and whenever any of the interns was having a bad day, sad day, or just simply a hungry day, we hustled over here for chicken gyros and big fat Greek fries.

The tzatziki is to die for, and although it looks like a fast food restaurant, and the service is speedy - the food tastes anything but! It's delicious, good quality food, served with a smile, and a price tag to make you smile too!

The appearance is deceiving. It looks like a fast food cafe with bright lighting, counter ordering and Formica tables. But the food is very good home Greek cooking. I had a braised lamb shank with orzo. The meat was tender and well-spiced. Another time (two visits in a single week's stay in Silver Spring) I had the gyro platter, again with the orzo in a Greek tomato sauce. Given the chance to visit again, I'd keep working my around the menu.

Don't overlook the specials written on a board to the side.

This small restaurant is great on flavors. With our group we were all sharing the foods we each purchased. The owner/manager was friendly and very accommodating for the food needs. The herbs and cheeses and flavors made each dish a tremendous joy. The portion were large and we had enough total home.

After an afternoon hike my husband and I were very hungry. We saw this restaurant with very good rating so we tried it. First off my husband is gluten sensitive, so we asked for a naked gyro (no bread) pita platter with roasted potatoes and we ordered 1 dolmades (seasoned ground beef wrapped in grape leaves) and I got the regular gyro platter with Big Greek fries (served with crumbled feta with and oregano and other spices). With 1 soda the whole bill was $32 and the platters were served with a side of Greek salad. The salad was fresh, crispy, with just the right amount of seasoning -I ate every last bite! The dolmades was so juicy and tasty OMG deliciousness. The gyro was tasty and not dry and the fries were crispy and so yummy it was ridiculous! Needless to say we had so much leftover a third person could have been fed. They have Greek pastries too! Too full to try so I'll take it home. Would highly recommend and come with a big appetite! Love this place!!!

This restaurant is always on top of its game when in comes to Greek comfort food. All the regular offerings are here including the best gyros in town. Friendly and efficient staff makes every meal enjoyable. Overall...highly recommended.
