Wow....
Jim and Joanne...the owners...
If there are 2 nicer people in the world, i wanna meet them!
This place is immaculate, spacious, warm and inviting.
Located on a huge parcel of land on the water.
Rooms were outstanding.
Breakfast in the morning out of a southern living cookbook, but no grits.
A hospitality room with books, music, free beverages(no booze), just beer and wine.
Its the ultimate place to decompress.

Well, we think it's time to retire as you can't do better than this! Thanks for such high praise and hope we can make everyone this happy!
One correction...once every so often we make grits ;-)
Thanks again and we hope you'll consider a return visit.

Probably one of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed. The inn and the grounds are impeccable. The hosts were warm and the dogs were cute and friendly. The breakfast was delicious and the others staying at the inn were also a great group of people.

We contacted the Inn at Huntingfield Creek on Friday evening for a last minute, Saturday/Sunday getaway. To our good fortune, we found a room. What a lovely place! Joanne and Jim are perfect hosts, very engaging with guests and fun conversationalists. The inn, their home, is very comfortable. Our room, in the main house, was large, very nicely furnished and quiet. Common areas feel like home. And the extensive grounds are both full of surprises and pastoral beauty. We kayaked for a couple of hours on their quiet creek on the edge of the Chesapeake, enjoying osprey, herons and egrets. Breakfast was communal, with delicious food (especially the very berry bread pudding, a Sunday morning specialty) and great conversation that went on long after the plates were cleared. Rock Hall is a fun little town, with many dining options, and a unique Saturday evening entertainment option in the Mainstay, a local non-profit performance arts venue. We would definitely recommend the Inn at Huntingfield Creek, and will be heading back there ourselves for a longer stay.

We had a perfect Girls' Getaway for two nights. We booked the Lavender Cottage because it had a little Bistro Kitchen. It was absolutely perfect for our adventure to the eastern shore of Maryland. The main house was lovely and the grounds were stunningly beautiful. There was a set of docks in the marshes with a view of the Chesapeake Bay. Breakfast was delicious, and there were interesting guests that we enjoyed talking to. We liked that there were a couple of children and the Inn was dog-friendly. The three of us hope we can bring our husbands next time we visit. The hosts and staff were friendly and showed us wonderful hospitality. A very classy Inn without being stuffy or formal.

You ladies were the best! So happy that you all had the opportunity to commune and enjoy each other 'sans souci'. Thanks for your descriptive and positive review...alright, it would be wonderful to have your husbands, too- as long as you promise to have as much fun as this visit!

Spent 4 pleasant nights with family in the adjacent Lavender and Farm cottages. Nice walks around the beautiful grounds, delicious breakfasts, pleasant hosts & fellow guests. It was great to have the small refrigerator and cooktop. We could put the babies to sleep in one cottage with a monitor and then eat and enjoy adult time in the other cottage. We cooked 2 nights, had a late lunch in town then later hors d'oeuvres one night, and picked up New Yarmouth Café pizza the last night. Eastern Neck Refuge is a quick drive or a 7 mile bike ride. We got in a lot of reading, pool time and shared family time. Will definitely go back.
