“Beautiful spot with delicious food!”

Doc's Sunset Grille

I spent my Sunday here with a few girlfriends for brunch. I had blueberry pancakes with a side of bacon... and of course several bottomless mimosas! My pals had the breakfast quesadilla, crab Benedict, and the creamed chipped beef. Everything was scrumptious... Service was perfect, friendly staff, and a beautifully designed chic, yet shore-style restaurant overlooking the Tred Avon. Great example of family owned & operated restaurant. Looking forward to coming back for some sunsets this summer at the TiKi bar!!

This location is the former Masthead restaurant in Oxford. The new owners made no effort to improve the food. All apps and entrees at our last visit were just plain out awful. It was like processed cafeteria food. Nothing fresh. Nothing tasted good. Just poor quality overall. The far was crowded and loud making it almost impossible to talk at the surrounding tables. The prices for both food and drinks/beer was extremely high. Nothing was comfortable or a good value at this restaurant. Just a overall poor effort by the new owners.

Water front with red sunset doesn't get much better. Pricey crabcake sandwich so I opted for the cream based crab soup (aka "She Crab Soup".) Delicious. Also - I haven't had such big fried oysters, as big as the bottom of a person's heel. Mixed drink - to perfection. Friendly staff, friendly laid back atmosphere.
