At13th street ON the boardwalk. This motel is not fancy but it is clean, staff are very nice, and you can't beat it for convenience, good location and short walk to the amusements. We asked for a quiet room -- our request honored with top floor room farthest from the public balcony. The rates are very reasonable for those who will be out and about most times. No breakfast included. No coffee maker in the room though coffee is free and available in the lobby all day. I was most impressed with cleanliness of our bathroom in comparison to other more expensive hotels nearby where I've stayed in recent years. Parking is tight - a challenge if you own an SUV. Public balcony is a treat for people watching, though in need of new patio furniture.

Room Tip: Economical, great location

This is a really nice Boardwall Hotel.I stayed here for 5 days with my girlfriend, the room was very clean, spacious enough and they allowed to bring our dog with us which is quite a big deal in Ocean City. The person at the front desk is always polite and he's trying helping you with everything. They offer you coffee, tea as well. But the best part(beside the room)is the ocean front balcony, you can stay there at any time, right on the Boardwalk. And by the way, they have 2 balconies! The rates are pretty decent in the season too.Definetely coming back!

Room Tip: Ocean View rooms are the best!

Another trip to OCMD and another stay at the Safari Motel on the Boardwalk.
This time we were without dog so we stayed in the main building on the 3rd floor. The owners are the same as before and they were nice enough. The accommodations were same as before but frankly, you know it's not a three star hotel when you book a room there. All in all, it's a reasonable price for a decent, clean place to stay, right on the boardwalk, just a few blocks from all the night life. And since it is on the boardwalk, the beach is right there.
There are no ocean front rooms but many of the rooms have a side view of the ocean. The building has 2 balconies for the residents to use and the 13th street tram stop is right there. Parking is adequate and if you're lucky, convenient.
Will we stay there again, you betcha we will, unless we're looking for something a bit more upscale. Dogs are extra but its worth it to be able to bring your 4 legged children with you.

My boyfriend and I stayed here a couple months ago and we had a terrible experience. The room was ridiculously small, there was trash from the previous occupants, the bathroom lighting/fan didn't work, nor did the fridge in the room work. The hotel, as well as the rooms, had a musky odor and it was incredibly humid. My boyfriend wrote a review and gave a decent rating based on how nice the staff was. They called him and apologized on how unsatisfied we were and told us to call back the next time we wanted to visit OC, and we would get a hefty discount on the room. They would do this IF he deleted the 4/10 rating he had left. He did so and just called to try to take them up on the offer for a discounted room, and surprise surprise, they claim they don't know what he's talking about or who he is. We attempted to give this place another chance and this is how we were treated.

This hotel is extremely outdated, but has prime real estate for visiting Ocean City. Don't be fooled by ocean front rooms tho, you can't see the ocean from them. There is a public balcony on each floor that prevent there from being windows on the front of the building. Not worth fighting for it, since everyone shares the view that is available.

We are pleased that you enjoyed your visit with us. As you say, the balconies are common for everyone and we do not advertise any oceanfront rooms. Some of our rooms are ocean view from the window of the room. Our goal is to have satisfied guests and we are always striving to improve our attentiveness, accommodations, and surroundings. We appreciate all input and look forward to your return.
