Ok so we came during a brisk, chilly Easter week— there were still people strolling, riding rented tandem bikes and pedal cars. A few places were open even in early April— tourist shops, ice cream, Candy Kitchen— and the world’s best fries!!

There’s a quieter desolate beauty to the boardwalk this time of year. The beach we had almost all to ourselves. Bet it’s a whole different story come July!!!

My husband, daughters, parents, sister, nieces, and nephew visited Ocean City for Easter weekend (March 30-April 1, 2018). We enjoyed walking this boardwalk. It is very spacious and features many of the family/individually owned shops and restaurants that create a welcomed sense of nostalgia.

During our stay, we purchased funnel cakes, fried Oreos, and homemade lemonade. We ate at a restaurant and purchased a few clothing items and souvenirs. Bicyclists (individual and family), "trikers", skateboarders, and joggers had plenty of room (and in some cases, their own lanes). We never felt too crowded. There were plenty of benches for lined along the stretch where we stayed and well lit for nighttime/early morning use.

Only thing I'd say is that some of the shops were closed (whether for the holiday or permanently I'm not sure). I don't know if this was due to inability to pay rent/operate or some other issue, but some stretches appeared a little worn down for this reason.

Overall. we love Ocean City's boardwalk and beach so we plan to return soon!

Been going here since 1969. O.C. is generally clean. FUN to bike ride in the morning and then eat your way from the start of the boardwalk until about 10th street.

there's nothing like stroling down the boardwalk and window shopping, visiting my favorite little shops and just people watching.
