The Washington D.C. Temple Visitor's Center is a nice place to visit to learn about the Mormon Church or also known as The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The visitor center gives you information about the Temple through the model and the staff. You can walk around the Temple up close and take pictures.

Stopped in randomly to view the Christmas Lights and were treated to a Bell Choir concert as well! The lights at the Temple and around the visitor's center were fantastic. The folks inside of the visitor's center were all very kind and would answer any question you had. Personally (unlike other comments in recommendations) neither my wife nor I felt like we were in a situation where someone was "converting" us. In reality the volunteers are just happy in their faith and want to share that joy if they can, but there was no pressure at all.

The lights were gorgeous and really put us in the Christmas spirit!

I was dragged to the temple by my parents and sister to see the holiday lights - they are spectacular and the temple is gorgeous. The visitor center is staffed by really nice people who are dressed very nicely but who would like nothing more than to convert you. "Our temple is not really a secret place. It is just such a sacred place that we only want the true believers to experience god." oy
