We visited Bayley's Seafood Restaurant and ordered the Nova Scotia Fried Shrimp. For approximately $19 per plate, we received a large serving of what seemed to be just fried breading- neither of us could detect (by taste alone) any actual shrimp. The service, though, was great- the people working there are incredibly friendly. We probably should have asked about the shrimp (as in, where are they?), but didn't, so that's on us. No, I would not recommend it, either for the food or the price. But again, the employees were very, very nice.

My husband and went to Bayleys for the first time today. We both had clam strips. They were yummy and flavorful. The tarter sauce was a little odd though. It had a strong taste of vinegar. We found it to be a little pricey, but found the serving size fair for the price. They only have one size soft drink, which we found to be on the small size. Overall we enjoyed it and would go back.

In the summer there's ots of places for great shrimp, clam strips, and chowder, but when winter is here and the temperatures dip to record breaking cold like it did 2 days before New Year 2018, there aren't a lot of places with great seafood, Had clam chowder - really hit the spot - and my wife had fried shrimp that were so good it was like summer all over again! (well, maybe not when we went outside and it was 3 degrees). Always friendly staff who handled the orders quickly despite several groups arriving at once. If your in the area in the winter, it's worth braving the cold.
