This quaint cottage house just behind a historic home in the West End is updated with a nice kitchen, bathroom, and luxurious new furniture. The covered, fenced patio, just off the bedroom, really pushed this over the edge to excellent for me. After walking down to the Old Port to get lobster roll, sat outside on a lovely summer night to enjoy wine and local food. A pre-dawn walk over to an East End beach was also a wonderful way to watch the sunrise. Everything is within walking distance. The location is fantastic, the kitchen is well-appointed, but, really, you'll want to eat out at every meal. I had initially looks at getting a hotel room in the Old Port area for this work trip but am so glad I found this gem to make my stay in Portland homey and special.
Was able to confirm last minute rental quickly. Easy to work with Owner and he made it seem that it would be easy to reach him if we had any issues (we didn't which is always good :) )
Good location in the West End, easy to walk to Old Port. We were lucky so able to park right in front of the rental overnight (just watch out for certain Tuesdays of the month) and then we just walked everywhere for the 2 1/2 days we were there. I was there for a conference at the Holiday Inn so not a lot of sightseeing for me but my husband said to definitely go to the Victorian Mansion. Had a great meal at East Ender and right up the street, The Little Tap House never disappoints with their great service, drinks and food. If you like great beer, besides all the breweries, don't miss going to Novare Res Bier Café, we go there every time we visit Portland!
We were in Portland, Maine over the weekend for a concert, and stayed in the Majestic Garden Condo. The condo is beautiful, nicely decorated with clean and up to date kitchen and bathroom. The location is peaceful and quiet, and is walking distance to downtown Portland. Would definitely stay again!
