I have been here numerous times over the years, mostly for breakfast but occasionally for lunch. Breakfast is the real standout and they are busiest on Friday, Saturday and Sunday mornings in the summer and fall. There is often a line, but it moves pretty quickly. They do all the classic breakfast dishes and their pancakes are huge. Unless you are a big eater, only order one! They even make their own bread for toast for white, wheat and raisin. The raisin bread makes terrific toast. The biscuits and muffins are good as well. At lunch, they often have American Chop Suey, Meatloaf, Beef Stew and other homey favorites. The portions are generous and the food is a lot like your mom or grandma might have made. Their homemade desserts such as pies or bread pudding are also worth a try if you have any room left after lunch.
