We were driving from Camden ME to Bretton Woods NH and we're looking for a lunch spot along the way and I looked on a Trip Advisor and found Fish Bones. What a surprise, they smoke their ribs on site and offer an appetizer size tasting with their wings, both were very good. The chowder and French onion soups were also very good. They also offer a duck puetine that was great. If you are anywhere near this place make an effort to try you will not be disappointed.

Good lunch spot, but Fish Bones doesn't seen to offer as much ambiance for dinner. Ask for the corner table if you want a quieter location in this downtown restaurant in Bates Mill #6 Building, an accurate title but somewhat of a misnomer, as the atmosphere then was bright and open. Server was accommodating in switching out arugula as base for salads to mixed greens, and dessert of creme brûlée with fresh fruit garnishes was heavenly, but it was the only gf option for dessert, which was too bad, as the other dessert selections were amazing. How about a gf chocolate selection? Mushroom ravioli was enjoyed by one of the patrons, but there was not enough. Grilled salmon on salad was perfect. Butternut squash salad was a hunk of butternut squash under the salad - tasty, but not what was expected. Service was outstanding. Bill for lunch with two lunch entrees, a tea, a beer, and no desserts for one party of two with tip was just over $50.00.

Were only in town for two nights and thank goodness this restaurant was open the second evening we were staying. Lovely atmosphere in an old warehouse - very tastefully converted with a bra at the front and the main restaurant behind - worked well. Excellent and informative waiting staff.

We shared the fried lobster dumplings on seaweed salad to start. Catch of the day - salmon with jasmine rice was good as was the seared tuna with stir-fry. Good bottle of wine available and a sensible price. Thanks for a great meal.

Our party of 10 headed to Fish Bones to celebrate a birthday and for my family to spend time with my in-laws from Germany. As we waited for the entire party to arrive, our waiter introduced himself and took a drink order. He had the coolest accent (Polish) and demeanor. Once everyone had arrived, we were seated at our table near the open kitchen. Awesome table! Everyone tried different drinks and appetizers - all excellent. We had oysters, lobster Rangoon flat bread pizza and calamari. My meal was really good, which was salmon and mussels in the shell. My dad had the ribeye steak, and he loved it.

We had such a great evening, and will definitely stop by again when in the L.A. area.

I have been here MANY times. Every time I come here, I am impressed and very satisfied. The food is always consistent and the service is very good. The owners really know how to run a restarunt, especially for the LA Area.

My favorite is the Calamari and/or the Mussels, both are appetizers.
