Lovely inn - weather can effect view- did not stay here but was here for wedding. Nice hosts. Steep stairs . Steep path to dock. Nice porch. This place might be a problem for somebody with disabilities or who needs handicap access but the first floor is accessible I just don't know if there's any rooms there. The cost was a little high for our taste so we stayed in the local Airbnb. The wedding was beautiful the next day the skies cleared and we could really see the magnificent view

Beautiful ocean view. Gracious and accommodating owners and staff. Savory meals from onsite restaurant. Luxurious and welcoming from all aspects. Onsite path to dock with stunning views.

Sitting on the porch is wonderful at Grey Havens Inn, eating at the restaurant made us feel we paid a lot of money for "middle of the road" prepared dishes; we expected more refined food for the prices charged. Beetroot salade with spinache could be more refined with thinner sliced beetroot and spinache undone from their long leaf stalkes. The venison tasted okay, but was too coarsly chopped for this kind of meat. Sorry, but we expected to eat at a more refined restaurant.

The porch at Grey Havens looks out on the water and neighboring islands and has copius comfortable seating, including a swing. It is the perfect spot for cocktails before dinner. The menu is varied and features local seafood and vegetables, with imaginative presentations. The fennel/apple salad and local baked fish was superb! The dessert menu was very tempting, but I was too full to partake. Maybe next time!

On a day trip to the Maine peninsulas, we followed recommendations of "locals" to this inn, which also has excellent food and great porch views. Enticing menu, and our choices were wonderful. Lamb appetizer, salmon and John Dory, and a great banana dessert. We started eating before I took pictures- so my photos do not do justice to this excellent place. Even the birds in the living room are singing- as we were too.
