To celebrate my wife's birthday, the entire family headed over to Cousins Island in early-August catch the short ferry ride over to Great Chebeague Island on a spectacular early evening and after landing and making the climb up to the Cheabeague Island Inn we were soon relaxing on the Adirondack chairs looking back over to the mainland and a soon-to-be setting sun. Played a little "corn hole" while we waited for our reservation time for dinner. While not inexpensive, dinner was wonderful and enjoyed by all eight of us. Given our view and the exemplary service, in addition to the beautifully prepared meal, we could not have been happier. Everything about the Inn, from the view back across the golf course as the sun set, to the various porches, the lobby and sitting rooms, to the dinner has us all anxiously awaiting a return visit next Summer. Plus you get to take a 15 minute ferry ride over and back to punctuate a special evening.
