Located in the heart of the touristy area of Boothbay Harbor and a very popular spot for getting good pizza.

We were in Boothbay on July 13th and decided to try Pier One Pizza for our dinner. First, they had only young teens running the place and they were cursing in the kitchen continuously while customers were waiting on food. There was a $1.50 box charge if you got the pizza to go (ridiculous). The pizza was average at the most. The girl that took our order was not very friendly at all and was constantly on her phone. Don't waste your time here. They need better management or new owners to improve their business.

If the service was better I would have given Pier 1 Pizza 4 stars however a blonde woman (very young) ruined our view. We got off our cruise around 9 pm and went in to order chicken tenders and a calzone. The sign said open late. She refused to take our order and very rudely told us we could only have the pre cooked slices in the window. She could have been much nicer. The next day around 11 we decided to go back to pier one still craving pizza and chicken fingers the same girl was at the counter again refused to take our order and wanted us to buy the already cooked pizza slices so we left and had amazing chicken tenders at McSeagulls. Later that night we noticed a Dark haired woman working at the counter, I didn't really want to go in because of the horrible treatment earlier but my wife did. What a change we were treated extremely well our order was taken and we were served an amazing pizza with a BBQ base hamburger bacon ham and onion. What a difference a change of staff makes.

Came in to give it a try because it smells so good cooking up and down the harbor, and were sadly not impressed. Specialty pizzas were very expensive, as was the cost of adding toppings to a plain cheese pizza. If we weren't starving we more than likely would have found somewhere else but it was the only place open late.

The pizza we ordered had a very black crust and tasted horrible. The bar to get drinks was a nightmare... The bartenders completely ignored us and never came to get our drink orders. Then a male appears at the end of the bar and the bartender pours a shot for him and a shot for her while on duty.. totally unacceptable. The only reason they r in business is because they r the only pizza place in town.
