Owner description: One of the nation's earliest settlement sites.
Reviewed 22 February 2012

Damariscove is managed as a wildlife sanctuary, has a good network of maintained trails. There's a fresh water pond, and great rocks along the shore, as well as tiny museum of island life as it was. Careful of the fire ants brought in by sailors near the dock.
